Lynn said he and his father were walking into the Walmart Wednesday afternoon when they saw an officer struggling outside with the man, who allegedly stole shoes, a hat, watch, debit card and underwear. The suspect was dragged into the store’s security office, but tried to burst out, while Lynn and his dad ate in the store’s McDonald’s. Then Lynn heard loud bangs above them — and moments later, the man kicked his way through the ceiling. He crawled back in, moved to another part of the ceiling closer to the exit, kicked his way through again and carefully balanced himself onto the top of the front door’s frame, as stunned officers watched below. Then he jumped to the floor, dashed to the parking lot and, outrunning authorities, drove away. “And... he ran,” Lynn deadpans on camera while watching the man make his great escape. The super-sneaky shoplifting suspect still hasn’t been caught, WSFA reported. Police said the high-climber dropped the stolen items before fleeing.
