Arizona suspects throw bales of marijuana in 100 mph cop chase

Description: Arizona suspects throw bales of marijuana in 100 mph cop chase Suspected drug runners hurled bales of marijuana out of their SUV during a 100 mph cop chase across Arizona. Dramatic dashboard camera footage shows sheriff's deputies and police pursuing Mario Perez-Paz and Juan Aguilar-Zavala as they speed along the Interstate 8 freeway near Casa Grande on Wednesday morning. Large green packages are seen being lobbed from the pair's Chevrolet Trailblazer, reports AZCentral. Pinal County Sheriff's deputies and Gila River police officers chased the duo through the Central Arizona College campus. Law officers then deflate the SUV's tires with spikes in the road before catching the men as they try to flee on foot. Perez-Paz, 43, and Aguilar-Zavala, 21, were booked into jail on charges of drug possession, smuggling, dealing and unlawful flight. During questioning they claimed they'd been offered $1,000 by a woman from Phoenix to make the run. They also reportedly told cops about a stash house in Mesa, which was later raided and turned up a 374-pound cache of pot and 20 illegal immigrants, reports KGUN9-TV. The bales that were dumped on the road have not been seized, however, because they were reportedly grabbed by drivers passing by.
